thanks for your answer, i have tested both with and without hw
handshaking in minicom - and both work ... ?!?

so is there something i can do to get rid of this ... ?!?! do you have
any hints ?!?!

because i need to set up a bunch of weather stations and ds9490 is
currently out of stock - so i plan on using the LinkUSB ... but when
it's not fully working ... ?!?

btw: i have now tested a new kernel 2.6.34-gentoo-r6 but just the same
thing ... i currently compile 2.6.32-gentoo-r7 which matches closest the
kernel running on ubuntu (2.6.32-24) ... maybe this works ...
