maybe we could use just 8 new characters

the question is:
for "Û" you will use in you program \xFF for example, you will not use
"Û" since it's not \xFF (8 new characters) a conversion MUST be done
between owfs and your bash or program (not between owfs and onewire +
display)
got?
one function must be implemented in OWFS code: write 1 character
bitmap to display rom
the conversion MUST be implemented on bash php or another language
that use owfs to send information to onewire and after to display

this's a feature request for owfs: *write 1 character bitmap to display rom*
