Sorry Paul I can't find any reference to 'mock' in the web pages or the man pages.
It does seem to say that setting --temperature_low and --temperature_high will restrict the range that is returned by temperature, but that did not work with TESTER. I have just repeated my tests with 'mock' and yes it does seem to work, generating a random value between the values that I have given for templow and temphigh.
