Avahi mono has nothing to do with your issue. My Ooops!
I had just slogged through getting the avahi client library and zeroconf
installed, so responded with blurry irrelevance. Also it was [n] in the
morning. Heh.

I guess to solve my problem I have to recompile the kernel to get an fuse.ko
file, which can be loaded. So far it is not on my system... :-(
I think this can be avoided with the above.
