Hi Paul, Yes, I know of this product. I have emailed them for clarification on a couple of points (it appears that you cannot adjust the hysteresis), but essentially this is the sort of product I need... except that it is a room temperature sensor, and I need to measure water temp. I certainly intend to get 1 to play with.
The DS1821 is, as Patryk says, is *almost* what I want - except that it is either a temp sensor, *or* a thermostat, but never both at the same time, due to the fact that the DQ pin is dual purpose, and it is going to be a pain to flip it from one state to the other. Using a thermocouple is the approach I favour at the moment - but that is only because I haven't come across many alternatives. Thanks for the help so far.
