I'm not sure, but why don't you give the full path t the device? (/dev/ttyUSB0
instead of ttyUSB0)?

Hi,
I installed OWFS from the Ubuntu Precise repository and it worked at
first, but later after attempting to install the Debian sid package
for 2.8p14, and some generic updates, owserver started crashing. I
tried with a clean install (of the whole system on a different PC) and
I get the same error (from dmesg, with details for my hardware
PL2303+DS2480B):
[219717.648040] usb 2-1: new full-speed USB device number 3 using ohci_hcd
[219718.435828] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial

[219786.016556] owserver[31779]: segfault at 0 ip 00007febab50b264 sp
00007fff44a1aa08 error 4 in libc-2.15.so[7febab47d000+1b3000]
The sequence to repeat the issue is simple
1. attach the cable and check the device name
2. start the server:
$ owserver -d ttyUSB0
3. wait a few seconds and get the segfault info from dmesg
There are three systems I am able to reproduce this issue, they are
all AMD64. I did not try yet to compile the latest OWFS release,
currently I am attempting to build a deb package for it in my PPA, I
should be able to test it soon.

Is there anybody else with this issue, it might be related to a recent
update to a related package in Ubuntu Precise.
Regards,
Iztok Jeras
