Hello!
I see that there is an entry for using the USB dongle for making use
of the resources of OWFS via Cygwin. Which is a good thing, if I had a
working dongle, mine died under mysterious circumstances some time
ago.

But what about via a serial port? I've gotten OWFS on Linux to talk to
an adapter plugged into a serial port (physical) that way, and I've
gotten the Dallas stuff to talk to an adapter plugged into an FTDI
based USB gizmo. I have not tried to get things to work via Cygwin as
it worked on Linux, but using that adapter.
