OK thank you for suggestion. I started compiling 2.9p1 on my sheevaplug,
but I think it will not be easy at all... I've already compilation issue
and libtool problem. I'll have to dig into that...

libtool: Version mismatch error.  This is libtool 2.4.2
Debian-2.4.2-1ubuntu1, but the
libtool: definition of this LT_INIT comes from libtool 2.2.6.
libtool: You should recreate aclocal.m4 with macros from libtool 2.4.2
Debian-2.4.2-1ubuntu1
libtool: and run autoconf again.

I'll google to find a solution
