Just to be clear, are you talking about a stand alone meter or a 1-wire module? Hand held meters are pretty cheap these days, so I guess you are looking at a 1-wire module, so on that basis -
To measure 1-wire parameters at the far end of my network two dc volts channels 0-10v range To measure power consumption around the house several ac volt channels 0-300v range and several ac current channels 0-10A Obviously more channels and more ranges are always useful but cost/benefit is usually the limiting factor.
