I have been using aliases for a long time.  You need to add

-a "PathToAliasFile" to your command where you call owfs, owhttpd, etc

where your alias file has entries for each device
e.g.
10.A209A9010800 = LoungeTemp
10.1C5BA9010800 = KitchenTemp
