Hello! Perhaps. After studying the output from the rig regarding the adapter, and the application notes for the FT232 part, (part of the datasheet for it) and the sheet for the DS9097U device, I figured why I'm getting perfect connections with the adapter I normally use. It follows the page for the application of making an RS232 to USB adapter work.
And I'm up to my ears in parts such as the MAX213 for such things. I also have here an uncommitted breakout board for the FT232, its a Sparkfun style #0718 which is at https://www.sparkfun.com/products/718 and it does exactly what that portion of the adapter works as. The rest is standard Maxim style RS232 to TTL levels translation. As always I'll keep the list up to date with my work, including available photos. ----- Gregg C Levine gregg.drw...@gmail.com "This signature fought the Time Wars, time and again."
