Don't know if this will help but this is my list to install on a Pi, it
includes other stuff as well as owfs so you may not need all of it.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade
sudo rpi-update
sudo apt-get install i2c-tools
sudo apt-get install apache2
sudo apt-get install php5
sudo apt-get install php5-cgi
sudo apt-get install php5-mysql
sudo apt-get install libfuse-dev
sudo apt-get install libusb-dev
sudo apt-get install libavahi-client-dev
sudo apt-get install swig
sudo apt-get install fuse-utils
sudo apt-get install automake
sudo apt-get install python-pexpect
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
you will be prompted to create a root password
sudo apt-get install python-mysqldb
sudo apt-get install owfs
