I did apply your patch, and it is working fine. I compiled git-source
owfs 3.2p1 for platform amd64 on an x86_64 machine and for platform
armvh on an armv7l machine.
Then I tested on both machines with a LinkUSB V1.4 and V1.7 starting
owserver with and without '--debug' and the following three adapter options:
--link=/dev/ttyUSB<n> - success, was not working
before patch, works fine now
--link=ftdi:s:<vendorID>:<productID>:<serialNo> - success, was working,
still works with patch applied
-d /dev/ttyUSB<n> - success, was working, still works with patch
applied
