Hi Simon,

The next release of OWLIM is scheduled for the 28th October. However, if this is holding you up, we could make a patch/interim release before then.

OWLIM roadmap is here:

I will let you know when a fix is available.

All the best,
barry

Hi Barry,
Thanks for the quick response. Do you have a rough idea time wise for the new release? Sorry to put you on the spot, but if it's soon (weeks) I can wait, if not, I will need to think about some workarounds.
Cheers
Simon

Hello Simon,

Sorry to hear that you have had problems. There were a number of fixes made to 'optionals' handling during query answering over the last months and it seems like an error has crept in that is still present in version 4.2.

The will get fixed as soon as possible. Is it preventing you continuing your work?

Regards,
barry

Hi,
I've just updated from 3.5 to 4.1 and reloaded some RDF data. Some SPARQL
queries that previously worked are now returning some strange answers
when I use an OPTIONAL clause in the query. I've attached a test case that
will hopefully demonstrate this.

As far as I understand the two queries attached should return the same result,
whether I use the optional clause or not. This works as expected in
sesame 2.4.2 using a default memory store, but doesn't work when I use owlim-se
4.1 on a store built using the default template with default settings.

In the attached file there is an N3 export of my data, plus two queries that I
believe should give the same answers but don't. If you can send me the
latest 4.2 version then I can test that to see if it has already been resolved.

Cheers
Simon

Tested with:
Apache tomcat 6.0.30
Sesame 2.4.2
owlim-se-4.1.3782
MAC OS X 10.6.8
Java 1.6
