Hello Monika,
You probably get a message something along these lines:
"Mar 9, 2012 7:45:19 AM org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader
clearReferencesThreads
SEVERE: The web application [/openrdf-workbench] appears to have started
a thread named [MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager cleanup] but has
failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak."
I believe tomcat got smarter in recent times about spotting such
thread/memory leaks and will log messages such as this when it detects
these conditions.
However, as the message says, if it is a problem it lies in the Sesame
Workbench application, not the Sesame server (and not OWLIM either).
Perhaps you could create an issue in the Sesame JIRA project?

I hope this helps,
barry

If anyone has come across this before and has managed to resolve it,
please could you pass any pointers. What should I be looking for ?
Many Thanks,
