Hi, my proposal for a feed aggregator in ownCloud has been accepted for Google Summer of Code 2012 (http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/project/google/gsoc2012/cosenal/40001).
You can see the proposal here: http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/proposal/review/google/gsoc2012/cosenal/1 I would like to thank Jakob and Frank Osterfeld (from kde-pim), who are going to mentor the project, as well as Jan-Christoph for helping me to design the mockups of the app and Robin for inventing the project one year ago. I believe this app is going to be in the core of owncloud, not among the external apps, is that correct? If yes, I am going to develop the app in the 'rss' branch of owncloud, which I created long ago. When we were designing the mockups with Jan, we decided that "News" will be the name of the app that will appear in the navigation bar. Should that be the name of everything else too? For instance, name of the folder, app id, etc. I think a different name, such as 'aggregator' would be better as id of the app. What do you think? Are there other examples of owncloud apps where those two names don't match? Last question: who is the webmaster of owncloud.org? I used to have an account to modify it, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Can you please create a new account for me?
