Hi Klaas,
as part of the movable apps we will have a remote.php for all remote services 
like webdav, caldav, carddav, … .
I left the file /files/webdav.php for backward-compatibility with our syncing 
clients. (the new address will be /remote.php/webdav/)
It will stay there (at least for ownCloud 4).

Anyway it would good if the desktop client uses /remote.php/webdav/ if the 
version number is greater or equal than 4 and /files/webdav.php for version 
numbers less than 4. (For Webserver which do not support htaccess files)
