I just tried uploading and download the sync-client too. After downloading the client.exe I compared the two: https://secure.tomneedham.com/image/images/8048356ab80e4c4f4eec65cf59a631dc.png (right is after the encrypted download)
They seem to differ by 9 bytes on disk.
