I haven't done much research yet either, but I agree that they should be different apps. Well, the podcast app could be just a plugin of the music app and we could let it share a big portion of the code with the newsreader.
Anyway, I first want to finish the newsreader app and I will think about the podcatcher app from September. Fred, feel free to do some independent research on the topic.
