There's an app for that ;) I have made an ownCloud implementation of Zope Page Templates [1], which I plan to release around the same time as oC 4.5. For those not familiar with ZPT I wrote an article about it some months ago [2] also containing links to documentation - which there is lots of. I have a draft follow-up article mainly listing the ownCloud specific modifications I have made. The app is based on the PHPTAL library [3][4] which is very well tested. There is a (low volume) mailing list at [5].
