And a 404 you'll get with any browser ... > Here is what is in the owncloud folder: > > root@ubuntu:/usr/share/owncloud# ls -l > total 56 > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 admin > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 css > -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7437 Feb 9 2011 db_structure.xml > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 files > drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 img > drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 inc > -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1085 Feb 9 2011 index.php > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 js > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 log > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 ocs > drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 plugins > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 settings > drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 13:18 webdav How did you install owncloud? Please provide detailed instructions, since you have a number of fulders I don't have and you are missing files and folders which I do have. One of them being status.php (hence the 404). If you installed using the instructions found in "NewBie question" then I'd be curious what the result was from "apt-get install owncloud", since the line in your /etc/apt/sources.list seemed incorrect. The result from "aptitude search ~iowncloud" would probably be handy as well.
