You are of course right, this is not the right behaviour, even more, its
really terrible. I apologize and hope that you have a backup.
I'd like to ask you to open a bugreport about that on
https://github.com/owncloud/mirall/issues/ if you can reproduce that,
and attach a logfile of the client, created with owncloud --logfile
/tmp/client.log
Please also check your server log to see if there are errors.
