On then owncloud landing page [http:/owncloud.org]'s frontpage there is a link "Install your own" [http://owncloud.org/install] This redirects to [ http://owncloud.org/support/install/] where I obtained the instructions from. I think this is as "frontpage matter" as it gets, and there I guess it is not updated.
