I totally agree, and I'll have to admit that I've contributed a many a lines of horrible, unmaintanable code. > Nothing is set in stone here. Whoever submits working code will be > embraced, I guess. I think many like me has had to to work their way into oC by first commiting patches, then suggesting changes and making them eventually. The code in oC 1 was afairc pretty clean, but not build for all the stuff that ownCloud has and can do now. We still carry a lot of that legacy around, but we're only just starting to catch the breathe and calm down from a coding frenzy, so now the cleanup starts. The App Framework is a great way to start for new contributors so they won't start building on the "old" static methods, and the core libs are also evolving to being more OOP based. Let's keep building on what we got - it's not like we're gonna end up in a WordPress mess ;) > > Happy coding!
