I didn't see it mentioned in this thread, but I copied the files
mentioned into the themes/<mythemename> folder keeping the structure.
For example:
themes/mytheme/core/css/styles.css
When a new version comes out, I do a diff to make sure there hasn't been
any changes to the files I use in my theme. If there has been, I modify
those and move them into my theme structure.
