What a coincidence. We faced this issue yesterday at work, and found
that its actually a bug in PHP. The best you can do without patching it
is to set the max to 0 or 4GB, which should let you upload files smaller
than 4GB.

Dear fellow-cloud-users,
After changing the htaccess I was able to upload max 4,8 GB but I
received another error.
'The uploaded file exceeds the max_file_size directive that was
specified in the HTML form'
Can anybody tell me where to change this setting?
Thx

Just joined the list. I have been testing out owncloud 5.0.3 and
just today upgraded to 5.0.4. In 5.0.3 on the Admin account under
"Admin" settings there was "File handling" that let you set the
upload max size. I had this set to "2 GB". After the upgrade this
field area disappeared and now my upload size limit is 513Mb. Did
this setting get moved?
The limit is being set in the htaccess file which you overwrite with
the upgrade ;)
