Yes its normal and a standard procedure.
For "'version' => '5.0.8'," its a internal versionning.

Thanks for your reply, but I have been doing this trick since I
upgraded my Owncloud to version 5, and repeated it at each update since.
I just find it odd that I *have* to do that every single time that I
am doing an update. Is this a standard procedure, or is it a bug of
the web-updater option in Owncloud?
If it is normal, well then please forgive me for this noise. If a bug,
shall a bug report be filed?
And for desactivating the theme in config.php, I don't find any
reference to that in that file (/[ownCloud-folder]/config/config.php).
Funny thing: in config.php file, I just noticed this line after
upgrading to 5.0.6: "'version' => '5.0.8'," => is this a bug?
