The first exception:
java.lang.ClassCastException: java.util.zip.ZipFile$1
at orbeon.apache.xerces.impl.XMLEntityManager.closeReaders(XMLEntityManager.java:959)
is the error you get when using JDK 1.3.0 instead of 1.3.1.
