As you noticed, the Web application controller in OXF 2.0 supports a few additional ways to connect the model with the view (and now with the new "action"). We'll try to capture all this in the updated documentation.

Oops, yes I should have tried first.. :-) It works exactly the way it should. If your model only outputs an 'instance', not 'data' then the view.xsl will take it as input.. Neat.
Might be worth adding this to the WAC documentation though..
