The reason we did not use the XML:DB for Tamino is that they do not support XUpdate. So we had to go with the native APIs to support updates.

Thanks, I was considering using your config syntax to create a xindice
processor.

I thought that tamino and xindice implement the xmldb api

I have not actively compared their implementations, but one could hope
that they are both conformant. :)

Subject: Re: Xindice, Tamino and XML Database API specification

Peter,

We have not integrated with Xindice. This should actually be relatively
easy to implement, but we delayed that kind of support as we wanted to see
whether we could have a relatively unified interface in OXF for the mainstream
XML databases.

The Tamino interface uses the native Tamino APIs.

Hi,

I am interested to know if anyone has used OXF with Xindice?

Did you use the XML:DB API to create the Tamino Processors and if so
would it be possible to modify it to work with Xindice?

Thanks

Peter
