OxLUG was a talk then pub on Sunday evening. Now fewer people drink then hassle is that cafés are shut. // meeting date The www[1] isn't quite accurate on meeting date. It claims first Sunday of the month: not true. The one that was actually published/used is: first Sunday after the first Saturday of the month, unless it's a bank- holiday weekend, in which case it's the following one. There were very occasional cludges. This has the advantage that it can't be at New Year or Easter. E.g if the first Sunday was the 1st to 7th of the January the dumb algorithm would claim that we meet when we are all away for Christmas. The better algorithm stops that happening, so we meet on 8 or 9th Jan. Similar for Easter. [1] https://oxlug.org/who.shtml
