Dear Linus Kamb,

When we discovered this behavior specific for Mac OS X we profiled <oXygen/> on a Mac computer and the code executed in the time period of no user activity is in a Java package starting with com.apple from the Apple's core library. That means it is a problem of the Apple's Java virtual machine and any Java application with a GUI containing a panel with a blinking cursor will take the CPU when the user does not interract with the GUI.

Best regards,
Sorin

Just wondering what this class/application is doing. I find that it routinely uses between 10-20% of my CPU (according to the Mac Activity Monitor) even when I am not doing anything in Oxygen.

Not a particularly big deal. Just wondering.

Running oxygen 6.1 on Mac dual g5 osx 10.3.9
