Some trial and error showed me that if I turned off the "Enable support to enter complex charaters" under Language support (Ubuntu/Kubuntu 8.10, running Gnome), then after a reboot Oxygen accepts the keyboard without problems. And what is more: it also accepts my change from Norwegian to Greek keyboard without restarting Oxygen ...
OTOH I can see situations where I would like to be able to "Enable support to enter complex characters" also when I am using Oxygen, so please have a look and see if there is a problem here.
