Mail headers tell me you're on OS X and assuming you're working on the
same system you can add a call to an external shell script in the
External Tools and assign it a hotkey.  If you run updatedb once per
day (usually via a cronjob run as root) then the locate command will
find anything on the system just like on any *nix.  The only question
is how you'd feed the filename to the locate command.
