I've just bought myself a MacBookPro 17". 128Gb SSD drive with 8Gb ram. Battery reports 9hours 11mins remaining. I'm assuming that would drop when actually doing stuff but thats so much better than my Alienware. It's also about 1/3 the height, and I guess 1/3 the weight.
I'm still wondering what I'm going to do with it but so far I like it. It was one of those OMG what have I done? moments. Much like when I switched from Amiga to PCs all those years ago. We'll see how it goes. :) Plans are to try out Parallels and failing that Bootcamp into Win7 so I can do my .Net dev. It also opens the door to some iPhone/iPad dev. I realised that I owned just about every other Apple product so why not a laptop too. Its my first non Dell purchase in years (not counting custom Desktop builds, talking laptops). cheers, Stephen On Tue, Jun 15, 2010 at 12:23 PM, David Connors <[email protected]> wrote: > On 15 June 2010 14:20, Corneliu I.
