Ooops, I forgot to mention...
I created a sanity test app that makes a model out of a CE 3.5 database with a dozen joined tables and it seems to be working without any glitches at all. I just added all the tables, it made a lovely default model diagram and classes, then a Forms app can load a table into a grid, edit and save the changes with a tiny amount of code. I haven't tried manipulating navigation collections or anything fancy yet. The fact that it works nicely with CE 3.5 is encouraging for me and I feel keen now about pushing EF4 a bit harder in a real app. Greg
