Best thing to make it go is to put a "For Sale - $100" on it. More effective than the Please leave sign.
I've heard of Fridges sitting for a week, then put a for sale sign on it and its gone in 5 mins. You might even get some honest person give you $100 for it, but they'd have to be quicker than the dishonest people.
