Tools > Import and Export Settings > Reset all settings

You can also do the same thing from the command line:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"
/resetsettings

Subject: VS2008 - stuffed up layout of my windows

This is a Friday off-topic cry for help, about Visual Studio layout
configuration. I have been putting up with this for 2 weeks because I don't
know how to fix it.
Somehow, I managed to make my Solution Explorer and Properties windows in
VS2008 a bit weird.
While code editing, they are nicely docked on the right side, one above the
other, and the Code window and Output (etc) windows are one above the other and
taking up about 80% of the total width.
But when running the debugger, the solution/properties window (one only) is
floating (the other VS UI windows take up the maximum width), and this single
floating window for solution explorer / properties has tab options at the
bottom (if that makes sense, without pasting images here).
Is there an easy way to get some sort of default layout, which I can then
(carefully) rearrange to my liking?
I should say that I also run VS2010 and don't have any problems.
