OK, I eventually found it after the links meski gave to MSDN led me round
the houses (not your fault meski - it depends if user has selected solution
or project in the project window, when clicking the project pull-down menu.
Why don't they give a few illustrations?).

Now, I have always had this checkbox ON (ticked ./ checked), and have never
had a problem related to keyboard or mouse, and I have re-installed VS2010
onto different machines with different CPU, etc due to hardware failure,
etc. All has been fine with VS2010.

Your problem, Anthony, was with that checkbox ON or OFF?

Anthony

Can you attach a small pic of the setting in VS2010? (I have never
experienced your problem, but would like to check if it does occur if I
switch).

It has been about 3 weeks trying to solve my vs2010 phanton keypress
situation. Finally solved the issue, i just had to turn of the uncheck
'enable the visual studio hosting process'!!

Used procmon to find this out....i didn't try to reinstall vs2010 cause it
usually takes me 3 days to reinstall with all the addons etc and thats not
fun.
