Interestingly (from a metro perspective) there are rules for when ALL CAPS is acceptable on road signs vs. not. http://skeptics.stackexchange.com/a/5894 It seems that variable text is better in all-caps but fixed text is better in title case. By that logic the status bar should be in all-caps and the menus in title case :) Michael M.
