Folks, I might have to write an ASP.NET app that looks pleasant on different devices such as Desktop, pad and phone. I will have to reliably detect the browsing device and render different html, but I've not needed to do this before. I'll bet someone in here has done this, and if so, can you give me a potted summary of what the tricks are (in the hope you can help me avoid hours of searching and experimental suffering). I'll start running some searches anyway.
