Nothing has really changed since 2000. For me the amount of time I spend doing JavaScript has diminished. JQuery et all have greatly reduced the amount of client side scripting, the amount of CSS styling is the same and HTML is about the same. Where I waste most of my time being unproductive is when trying to do wpf screens, it is way too complicated. When I can get away with it I'll do client apps in winforms, easier to debug easier to write and with a bit of MVVM patterning pleasing to write.
