Along with our entire dev team (> 50 devs), I ended up getting a Asus Zenbook 
with touch, and find myself using it a lot more than my surface:

Beautiful light machine, and the screen looks even better than it does in the 
pictures. If you want to use a keyboard for non-trivial amount of time - I'd 
consider a ultrabook instead of a tablet with a keyboard.
