Ian, pardon my vagueness. For me it was the export > reset > partial import
that worked. I didn't try the resetsettings switch. And it is interesting
that this advice came over from VS2010 to 12 successfully. I have this
uneasy feeling that the steps I took solved the problem more by accident
than science, Thank heavens though, as the symptoms where driving me
barking mad - Greg
