Sigh. I dropped the Windows Phone 7 platform simply after being unable to
back up/retrive offline -  my SMSs, for a court case.

Seems like nothing has changed in this area.

Though I'm sure MS has wonderful reasons to choosing the design - frankly
they don't make sense to me, and I'm past caring.
