I recommend the books by Itzak Ben-Gan listed on this Amazon page:
http://www.amazon.com/Itzik-Ben-Gan/e/B001IGQENW

I own the T-SQL Querying and T-SQL Programming books and I'm most impressed
by their coverage and detail. But be warned, the two I have are written
like university student level text books, they're not for the
faint-hearted. I notice he also has some "Funadmentals" books which I'm
guessing might be more suitable.
