I'd see them as a positive if there's nothing better available. Actual experience is king in my books followed by open source project work. I wouldn't depend on these certs if you plan on doing them for several months. That doesn't look too good and is not in your best interest anyway. They're ok for a few weeks or possibly a month while inbetween jobs.
