I picked blogspot for some reason a few years ago after a quick look around
many (too many!) choices. I think it seemed popular and has lots of
templates and a pleasant UI. However ... the html formatting of blogspot is
absurdly amateurish. Most formatting is done using <br/> tags and you have
to fight it to maintain any manual formatting you add. There is no
convenient way for folks like us to format code samples and I have to paste
a special <div...> in to format code -- *GK*
