Just a warning that if your follow the instructions here to make an offline en-US installer:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/install/create-an-offline-installation-of-visual-studio You'll get a whopping 20.5 gigawatts of 1826 files in 700 folders. I'm running the resulting exe now to install it in a VM and it seems to be going okay to install 13GB. As promised, the installer is much simpler, but I think I preferred to have exact control over what was installed. *Greg*
