Your replies have confirmed the situation. I didn't realise a IPv4 hunt-and-reclaim was going on, and now they've found me, and I can't get off their radar, and they call the shots, and I'll have to roll over and give-up the range I used to own. If I don't join and pay then the range apparently becomes "disabled" from any use. So you have no choice but to surrender (or just hang on to the dead C block out of spite). If it cost $15 a year to keep the range then I'd pay (it's not even worth that), but *$500* !
In any other case I would call this theft and extortion. *Greg K* On Wed, 1 Mar 2023 at 13:35, Dr Greg Low via ozdotnet <ozdotnet@ozdotnet.com> wrote: > Yep, the major ISPs ran out of IPv4 space ages ago.
